BAP

Privacy Policy

Last updated 16 September 2026 · BAP is operated by Lifemaxx LLC.

This policy explains what BAP collects, why, and what you can do about it. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than legal padding.

The short version. BAP stores most of what you do — your recipes, your plan, your list, your pantry — on your own device. If you make an account, that data syncs so you can pick it up on another phone. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not run advertising.

1. Information we collect

Account information

If you create an account, we collect your email address and an authentication identifier. If you use Sign in with Apple, we receive the identifier Apple provides, plus the email address you choose to share — including Apple's private relay address if you elect to hide your real one. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are never visible to us.

You can use much of BAP without an account. Some features, including syncing between devices and push notifications, require one.

Content you create

This includes the cravings you type, recipes you save or customise, your weekly plan, your grocery list, your pantry contents, and your stated food preferences. On a device with no account, this stays in local storage on that device. With an account, it is stored on our servers so it can sync.

Location

The Nearby feature asks for your location only while you are using the app, to show food shops around you. We do not track your location in the background. You can decline, and the rest of the app works normally.

Camera and photos

BAP asks for camera and photo access so you can set a profile picture and capture receipts and meals. These are used for the feature you invoked them for. Access is requested at the moment you use the feature and can be refused or revoked in iOS Settings.

Push notifications

If you enable notifications, we store a push token issued by the operating system, along with basic device information needed to deliver a message to the right handset. Tokens are removed when you sign out or disable notifications.

Purchases

If BAP offers a paid subscription, purchases are processed by Apple and the subscription status is managed through our payments provider. We never receive or store your card number. We receive only whether a subscription is active and what it entitles you to.

Diagnostics

We may collect crash and performance diagnostics to fix defects. Where offered by the platform, this follows your iOS analytics sharing setting.

2. What we do not collect

  • We do not collect payment card details.
  • We do not track your location in the background.
  • We do not build advertising profiles, and BAP contains no third-party ad networks.
  • We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

3. How your information is used

  • To generate and show recipe swaps in response to what you ask for.
  • To save your plan, list, pantry and preferences, and sync them across your devices.
  • To estimate cost using what you already have in your kitchen.
  • To show nearby food shops when you open that feature.
  • To send notifications you have asked for.
  • To operate, secure, debug and improve the app.
  • To meet legal obligations.

4. Recipe generation

When a craving has no match in our recipe catalogue, the text you typed may be sent to a generation service to produce a recipe. We send the craving and the recipe parameters — not your account identity, contacts, photos, or precise location.

5. Service providers

We rely on a small number of processors to run the app: a hosting and database provider for accounts and sync, a push delivery service, a payments provider for subscription status, and a mapping and places provider for the Nearby feature. They may process your data only to perform those services for us.

6. Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. Delete your account and we will delete or anonymise the associated personal data, except where we must keep records to comply with law, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. Data held only on your device is removed when you delete the app.

7. Your choices and rights

  • Permissions. Location, camera, photos and notifications can each be refused or revoked at any time in iOS Settings.
  • Access and export. You may request a copy of the personal data associated with your account.
  • Correction. You may correct your account details in the app or by contacting us.
  • Deletion. You may delete your account and the data attached to it.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, the California Consumer Privacy Act, or the GDPR. We honour these requests regardless of your location. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

8. Children

BAP is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level authorisation so an account reaches only its own data. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. International users

BAP is operated from the United States. If you use it from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.

11. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above, and for material changes we will give notice in the app before they take effect.
